One of my best career decisions was the day I decided to join PIA. My affiliation with PIA allowed my agency access to multiple carriers who offer broad coverage options at competitive prices. Having prior experience as a captive agent with only one option I realized quickly the value of having many options that a client would want to say YES. The growth of my agency is directly linked to the number of insurance companies that participate with PIA. Lastly, behind the scenes at PIA there are many quality people who are ready and willing to help. This has always been an extra bonus working with people who genuinely want to see my agency succeed.

PIA has greatly exceeded my original expectations. After 16 years since we joined the network, PIA is still cultivating strong carrier relationships on behalf of network members as well as optimizing contingent compensation agreements. After being a captive agent for 13 years, it was a refreshing change to be able to write with many different insurers. The Pennsylvania Insurance Alliance and SIAA have made it possible for me to open my agency and immediately have 15 insurance companies to offer my clients. Through their efforts, we have been able to grow and prosper in a way we would not have been able to do on our own. They have also been able to negotiate much better overrides and profit sharing than we could have ever achieved with our own direct appointments. I don't know how you could open an agency today without PIA/SIAA.
